From West of Greensboro via Interstate 40 or I-85 If you are on I-85 coming from Charlotte, take exit 87 right before Lexington. This will put you on Hwy. 52 north to Winston-Salem. Stay on Hwy. 52 to the south side of Winston-Salem where you will exit onto I-40 toward Greensboro (approximately 25 miles). Stay on I-40 for 15 miles to exit 210 (Airport, Hwy. 68 exit). At the bottom of the exit ramp turn to the left. Go to the Bryan Blvd, Airport exit, approximately 1 mile. Stay on Bryan Blvd. for about 5 miles until you come to the Westridge exit. At the top of the exit ramp, turn to the right. Go to the third traffic light and turn right onto Battleground Ave. Immediately get in the left lane as you want to turn to the left at the next light onto Pisgah Church Road (2 blocks). Continue on Pisgah Church for three or four blocks to the next traffic light and turn to the left onto Martinsville Road. Go a short distance to the next light and turn to the left onto Lawndale Drive. The Natural Science is approximately one mile on your left. From East of Greensboro on I-40/85 If you are on I-40/85 coming west towards Greensboro, stay on Business 85 when you get to the new I-85 bypass around Greensboro. Continue on Business 85 and take the E. Lee St./NC 6 exit. Since this has become Bus. 85, all of the exit numbers have changed but it used to be exit 128. Stay on this road until you come to Hwy. 29 north and take 29 north to the Wendover Ave. exit. Exit onto Wendover Ave. to the west (or south, you want to go to the left off of 29). Continue on Wendover to Hwy. 220 north. Take Hwy. 220 north (Battleground Ave.) for about 1/2 mile and Lawndale Ave. will be a slight turn to the right. Continue on Lawndale for about 2 miles and the Natural Science Center will be on your left. From Roanoke Merge onto US-220 S. US-220 S Becomes Thomas A. Burton Hwy. 17.3 Miles Turn Slight Left onto US-220 S. 13.1 Miles Turn Left onto Pisgah Church Rd. 0.5 Miles Turn Left onto Lawndale Dr. 0.9 Miles End At 4301A Lawndale Dr |
